Status Guns and Engineering manufactures two types of rifles based on the 50 caliber BMG round, a clip fed bolt action and a single shot action. The 10 round clip fed action is Status Guns and Engineering's latest product to meet an increasing customer demand for custom rifles in this caliber.

Ballistic Tables for the 50 caliber BMG cartridge are available at the end of this page.

Status Guns and Engineering is producing the new ten shot 50 caliber action in either stainless or chrome moly steel. These actions are available in two configurations, 'long thread' and 'short thread' ( long thread pictured).

The long thread version has 150mm of thread for the barrel shank and is designed to support the barrel and avoid the need for bedding. The short thread version has 60mm of thread for the barrel shank and is designed for a stock that will accommodate some bedding to support the barrel just ahead of the action.

Status Guns and Engineering actions are available on their own, as a barrelled action or as a complete rifle. A variety of barrel brands, muzzle brake designs and stock designs are available for this excellent product.

The Status Guns and Engineering's Single shot 50 BMG rifles are based on a single shot action, using the short bolt principle. The rifle is loaded by removing the bolt, fitting a cartridge into the shell holder bolt face, then inserting he bolt and cartridge into the action as a unit.

A muzzle brake is provided which reduces recoil to about that of a .243.

The stock is aluminum and has a bipod fitted.
